THE HOMEPAGE CHECKLIST: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO CREATE AN IMPACT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS
Here's the truth: you have about 4 seconds to capture your customer's attention on your homepage in order for them to click further. That's it. What you have on your homepage is crucial, because it will decide whether or not your visitor's will turn into customers!
Well did you know there are some key elements you need on your homepage in order to communicate your brand's message effectively?
You may or may not know this about me, but I offer shop reviews and create websites for many creative entrepreneurs. Usually clients that sign up are very confident in their products. But when it comes to the techy stuff like building a website, they seem much less confident in their decisions.
Well, it's my job to come in and tell them where they need improvement. I help to optimize their site for both engagement and conversions. Basically that means I give them a plan to help them get their customers do whatever it is they want them to do.
For some businesses, that's getting them to shop. For others, it's all about growing their mailing list or visiting their blog. Whatever the goal is, there are some important pieces that you need to include on your website homepage in order to get those goals happening.
In today's episode I'm going to cover the main elements you need on your homepage to truly engage your customers and get them to do whatever it is you want them to do! Unless you've been making websites for a very long time, these elements can easily be forgotten about. And I totally get that! There are so many things to think about when running a business, how are you supposed to remember these things too!? So today I want to go over them with you. That way you can take a look at your own website and see where you may need some improvements.
